6.23.2021: The young bucks at #KennesawMountainNBP are usually a bit more skittish than the older does. However, today I noticed this dude grazing about 25-30 yards off the trail. He appeared to be heading my direction, so I didn’t make any quick moves (like at my age I could make any quick moves even if I wanted to.) It took about 10 minutes or so but he finally worked his way down to within’ five or six feet of me. After a couple of minutes grazing in front of me, he slowly walked away. Almost as slow as I walk when I’m hiking. (Which is pretty darn slow.) Neat experience, for sure.
