5.31.2021: A quiet Memorial Day morning hiking through the woods near Pigeon Hill. Just me, my camera and the usual suspects.

5.30.2021: Many soldiers who lost their lives in the battle of Kennesaw Mountain are buried at Marietta National Cemetery. From some of their grave sites one can see Kennesaw Mountain in the distance. (A little over 5 miles away.)

5.27.2021:  I guess when you move into a 55+ community you shouldn't be surprised by seeing something like this on a daily basis. On the upside, Halloween in our neighborhood should be spectacular.

5.16.2021: In our back yard today, I saw this visitor relaxing and apparently in deep thought. Looking at his fingers, he may be a distant relative to ET.

5.15.2021: Although our Wedding Anniversary date is May 18th, Janet & I renewed our vows Saturday in front of a very small gathering of family. (Unlike the 40,000 or so of those who attended our Wedding Reception/Fox 97 Ultimate Oldies Concert at the Georgia Dome in 1996.) These past 25 years have flown by! I snapped this photo of my fun-loving and beautiful wife before she slipped into her wedding dress for our very casual and adlibbed ceremony. Is it any wonder why I was in such a hurry to renew our vows! (More photos coming from the renewal plus plenty of 1996 TBT pictures from that special day/concert so long ago.) I should also mention, just like back in 96, Janet sang to me during our vows. This time she sang, “Till There Was You” by the Beatles. I love you Janet Carner!

5.13.2021: TBT: That time I went on a date with #PeterNoone who promised to buy me an ice cream cone at Bruster's. Only to find out, he doesn't carry money or credit cards. So we just stood around for a bit hoping someone would recognize one of us and lend us some cash. Nobody approached us. First dates are often very uncomfortable.

5.5.2021: If animals had senior pictures.

“Fuzzy” Tail, Esquirrel … Class of 2021. This fall Fuzzy will be attending Oberlin College after receiving their much coveted “Rocket J. Squirrel” scholarship. Classmates describe Fuzzy as “one tough nut” and “ACORNy dude.” Fuzzy is known to friends for his indecisiveness, and on more than one occasion nearly met his death attempting to cross the road in front of the school. Favorite food: Anything in a bird feeder. Favorite band: The Squirrel Nut Zippers.
